family photos -- the out takes

I feel like doing this to Corban when we're not taking photos!

Jovi thought it was great fun splashing in the puddles, but not getting her feet wet.

I love this picture, but we're all doing something weird. Individually, not collectively.

It was so fun using the umbrellas in our shoot, but obviously we were all a little distracted.

Corban had no problem getting his feet wet. He could have cared less.
This was one way we got him to smile more for the camera.

Don't Joe and I look adorable! Too bad our kids were getting ready to throw some punches.

family photos

One of my SIL's took our family photos over Memorial Day weekend. She is AMAZING--even though she won't admit to it--and takes our photos every year. These are the ones that I like and want to re-print for our living room.

Me and the hubs.

 Family group shots.

I can't decide which one I like best out of these two.

The kiddos. Joe and I are getting prints of our kids when they were/are 2 years-old. We got Corban's ordered and may just have to use the one below of Jovi.

Thanks again, Peggy! I love them.

so sorry

I was trying to clean house a little and inadvertently erased comments. Basically ... I'm a nincompoop. And I'm sorry.

summer vacation 2013 -- in pictures

Our first stop was family in Mapleton and Logan. Jovi got to try on cousin Andrew's gear from Mardi Gras (don't worry, he's serving a mission. He didn't get them that way) and Corban got to help his cousins sell lemonade and cookies. He even made a buck!

Joe and I actually got to go through the temple together! That hasn't happened in a long time. We also go to see Joe's niece, Madison, get married.

We then went to the wedding luncheon. Corban was cold, Jovi took a bit to warm up to her Aunt Sarah, and most of the sisters and sister-in-laws got our picture taken.

Jovi had a minor accident during the reception. I was trying to dance with her--proof right here that I should never, never, never dance again--and took her wrist out of joint.

After the wedding stuff was finished and the Beck family said our good-byes, we drove back to Salt Lake to spend the day with my family. We had a little time to kill, so we went to Temple Square where we saw the Salt Lake Temple, the Christ statue, and Jovi rode her very first escalators! Corban had just as much fun and asked to ride the stairs one more time before we left.

We finally had to pack up our car and say goodbye to family and the mountains.

Corban and Jovi finally fell asleep on the car ride home.

This trip was a whirl wind. But it was great!

shoreline preserve

Towards the end of our vacation we stopped at my brother's house in Kaysville, UT. He had the day off (or took it off) so we headed over to the Shoreline Preserve near his house to take a walk and have a picnic.

Jovi didn't want anything to do with the camera or the stroller.

Corban just HAD to go! At least it wasn't in his pants and no one saw him. My SIL gasped a little (she was the first to see him) and then took a picture of it.

And then Corban acted like nothing strange had just happened around the corner. Love that little man.

We spent 10 days traveling, in Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming. Pictures and posts to come.

goats

My family and I just spent the last 10 days on a whirl wind tour through UT, NV, and WY (use your 9th grade geography classes to figure out those abbreviations) to see most of our brothers and sisters and their families. One of my brothers and his wife introduced us to these little YouTube gems.

Goat Screams

Goat Music ... Yep, there is such a video you can search using Goat Music. The first two videos are the best, and yes, you must watch the first video to really REALLY appreciate the second.

You're welcome.

And just in case you have the worst spouse/partner ever, watch what this little S.O.B. does to his girlfriend and then go kiss your spouse/partner.

once there was a snowman

As promised, I have a new felt pattern in my Etsy shop. This time it is a felt board pattern, kind of like the paper dolls you can change out clothes and such, but mine is a snowman. I guess it could be the Arizona summer beating down on me, but I needed a little winter/Christmas cheer.

Shopping Diva

Pirate ... arr, matey!

Rock Star

Traditional Snoman

Wizard

If you do decide you want to buy my patterns and make your own snowman army, snap a couple of pictures and email them to me. I'd love to see your creativity and post them on my Facebook page.
