Do you remember the Favorite Things Summer Swap? It was super fun and easier to host than I thought; there will definitely be a Favorite Things Summer Swap next summer! 

I got my package and this was what was inside:

The nail polish is this incredible stuff that dries pretty much instantly. Amazing! The book is "Mrs. Drew Plays Her Hand" by Carla Kelly. I was a little doubtful, but I LOVED THIS BOOK! It's full of romance, adventure, humor, sadness, and every other emotion one human can have.

This was super fun and I can't wait to do it again next year.

Did you get the movie reference from my title? "The hills area alive! With the Sound of Music! Ah. Ah. Ah. Ah." My Grandma had this movie and LOVED to watch it whenever we came over. Do you know how long that movie is? She had a VHS copy. I would make it through the first movie and then would disappear for a "potty break" and conveniently find something else to do.

I digress...

THE DETAILS:

• Sign up by emailing me with your name and address (You can also share this post so more people can participate). 
• I will then randomly select a swap partner for everybody and email them the address of the person they will send to. It is totally up to you if you want to let them know who you are or if you want to remain anonymous. 
• Put together a package of fun assorted goodies of some of your favorite things. Jump on over to the post office and send it off, and then eagerly wait by your mailbox for your package to arrive! It's a lot of fun to gather things to send, and even more fun to see what you get!

**I would love to see all of your favorite things! Take pictures of the gifts you receive (or send), email them to me before September 4, 2013 and I will share those pics here.

THE SWAP STIPULATIONS: 

• You must sign up by July 17, 2013. 
• You must spend at least $15 (before shipping) on your package, just to make it fair. Please only include items that you would like to receive yourself--no junk. 
• You must mail your package by August 31, 2013.

My family and I just spent the last 10 days on a whirl wind tour through UT, NV, and WY (use your 9th grade geography classes to figure out those abbreviations) to see most of our brothers and sisters and their families. One of my brothers and his wife introduced us to these little YouTube gems.

Goat Music ... Yep, there is such a video you can search using Goat Music. The first two videos are the best, and yes, you must watch the first video to really REALLY appreciate the second.

Reason to Break Up

I've been waiting for this day every since I bought my tickets two weeks ago. Joe and I even went to the theatres an hour early! Sadly, I was disappointed. The movie is similar to the book, but as it lets you know in the credits, it was based on the novel. Based. I guess that means you get a lot of artistic liberties. *sigh* I enjoyed the book much, much, much more than the movie. I hope that the seventh/eighth movies will be able to run more along with the books than this one did.
