The next day we all went up to the Narrow's. The shuttle we got on was apparently running late and the driver was a little stressed out. She was going to make my brother, who is in a wheelchair, wait for the next shuttle. She wouldn't put the ramp down for him admist all of our protests. My bro told the lady that he was getting on the bus, got out of his chair, and walked up the steps. Joe grabbed his chair and they got him on the bus. The lady couldn't stop apologizing.
I think everyone thought I wouldn't be able to hike for very long in the Narrow's. Joe pointedly told me that he was going to leave me to hike up as far as anyone wanted to go. We all stayed together for about an hour and then the women and most of the kids turned back. One of my sisters had a hold of my arm like I was an old woman. She finally gave me a walking stick and told me that I needed it more than she did! When we got back to camp, we all went to the river to cool off. I found a little spot in the middle of the river where there were three rocks; one on either side of me and one to sit on. The water was moving fast enough that it felt like a cold hot tub!
The next morning we packed up and drove home. Good weekend, but very hot.
My favorite wild animal that we saw. One of my nephews picked up the goldfish after we took a picture and for a second I thought he was going to eat it. Crazy boys.
sounds like fun! glad you didn't put yourself in premature labor. i hear the hospitals down in that region aren't the best.
