Joe and I went to Hyrum City's firework program. I work with a lady who's house is a couple of blocks away from where they light the fireworks. It was amazing because the echo of the fireworks rumbled down Blacksmith Fork Canyon, making is seem like we were in the middle of a thunder storm. Very cool.
The next night we watched Logan's fireworks from my grandma's back lawn. The kids dog-piled Joe and Carly (my 2-year-old niece) ended up laying on or next to him for the rest of the night! She would call out the colors of the fireworks as they exploded and would even turn around at us with her mouth wide open and her eyes opened wide and exclaim, "Wow!" Very cute.
The next day we then went up to Boise for a nephew's baptism. Little did we know that the 4th of July is our brother-in-law's favorite holiday. He probably spend over $100 on fireworks. He went to a store that had a room partitioned off where the "good stuff" was being sold. It was a good firework show though, very memorable with the drunk neighbors too.
Joe's sister loaded us down with lots and lots of baby stuff when we left. Our car was so packed, we could hardly see out of our back window! We got a pack-n-play, a swing, a vibrating chair (I'll have to post a picture), a kick-and-play thing (the baby lays on its back and plays with things that hand down in front of his face and by his feet), a humidifier, an umbrella stroller, a johnny-jump-up, a crib, and much much more. We got back to Logan around 7:30 last night, but spent the next couple of hours assembling everything. I'm kind of excited to use everything now!
Happy belated-4th of July! We hope you all had a fabulous holiday.
wow you made out like a bandit! very cool! like a summer christmas.
