"What was that?"
"Uh, that was you."
"Oh."
I'm glad that I am at least Joe's nightly entertainment.

toes, reunions, vandalism
We stopped by a cabinet shop and got Joe fitted for a coffin. I think I'll have to shorten him a bit before we can fit him into the box.
I live for this kind of stuff! Joe sold his little brother his car and accidently held on to a spare key. We were going to mail it to him, but then we found out that Joe's little bro was getting married! We put glitter all over the dashboard and into the vents, toilet papered the inside of the car and put ballons in the front seats. We cheese-whized sayings on the windows, put oreo cookies all over the place, saran wrapped the doors shut, put PB under the door handles, smeared PB all over the car, added more glitter to the stickier foods, and tied plastic water bottles to the the back of the car! What a masterpiece.
Steve and Anna thought they had the perfect solution to not getting their car decorated. They parked the car a couple of blocks away from the park where they had their reception and rode off on a bicycle-built-for-two. Needless to say, with the help of a reliable source, we found the car. Sorry guys. It's a tradition that everyone has to experience at least once in their life!

sweet honey
I've been on a toast, butter, and honey kick lately. No matter how careful I am, I can't seem to keep all the honey on the bread! Even if there were the smallest hole, the honey finds it and leaks all over the place. This weekend is Stephen and Anna's wedding and the Beck Family Reunion. Yippee! I've been doing pretty good with taking my camera to places I go. My next goal is to actually take out the camera and take some pictures. Who knows, I may be able to catch vandals in the act of decorating a certain someone's car ....

sleep talkers
Joe's been going through a burrowing stage lately. I don't sleep as deep as I once did .. stupid potty breaks .. and get out of bed quite a bit. When I woke up once, I was taking up about a foot of the bed. Joe was sleeping with his back right next to me with his feet sticking out, almost off his side of the bed. I nudged him a little and asked him to move over.
"Ugghhhh," he groaned quite angerly.
"Move over, please." I thought my asking nicer would improve the situation. Nope.
"What? I'm sleeping."
In his defense, he did end up moving once I again nudged him a couple more times in the ribs with my pointy elbows.
**SIDE NOTE: I think God made women's elbows pointy for this very reason of getting husbands to move over. Even after I've gained all this baby weight, my elbows are still a good weapon for my defense. =)

marks of motherhood
A man's wife brought in her 3 day old son into the office yesterday. He was so teeny! That is, if you can call 8 pounds teeny. I looked at him for a while and then promptly left. I'm excited, nervous and scared to become a mom, to be responsible to this little human for the rest of my life, to teach him about being a gentleman, to teach him about the gospel ... Needless to say, the responsibility of being a parent is a bit overwhelming to me.
