This is a rant about my printer. (I was trying to be clever with my title, get it?)
We bought our HP printer/scanner/copier cheap! (What was it Amber, like $25?) At the time we didn't know we'd have to invest in $15-$20 ink cartridges every month. Those tiny cartridges don't last that long and it doesn't seem like we print all that much.
Take the HP 21 black ink. It is (3/18/09) $18.92 on walmart.com for a 5 ml cartridge. That makes it (check my math) $3.784 per milliliter. There are 3785.4 ml in 1 gallon. That makes black ink $14323.95 per gallon!!!
(Is gold that expensive???)
seriously we are on the verge of commiting murder to ours. please don't tell on us.

ReplyDeleteGo to Cartrige world. I have to print a whole bunch for work and all you do is take the old one inand they will refill it or give you one already filled $7-10(by Walmart) and the ink works realy well I think. I have used them for a while! But it still sucks for sure. Iam doing great Amber thanks for asking. Much better now the first part is over. We find out in a couple of weeks what the little baby is. We all miss you guys very much and hope you are doing well in your new ward:)
ReplyDeleteEGAD! Maybe we should all go on an ink strike.
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteHey Amber - I feel your ink pain! Last year I finally went on amazon.com and found these cheap knock-off cartridges - I think the brand is OA100 or something . . . anyway they are like $2-3 dollars a catridge . . . and for the most part they've worked just fine for everyday printing (we don't do a lot of photo printing). We've been using them for a little over a year - and we had one shipment that was bad (the ink leaked out before we even put them in the printer) - but for the money we've saved it's been great!
