quiet book

My mom made me and my siblings a quiet book that lasted all the way down to me. I remember loving it as a kid and now appreciate all the time and work that it must have taken to create that book. This is my version of a quiet book that I hope Corban and my future posterity will like.

This page is a pocket for paper, colored pencils, and paper.

Match the shapes to the correct shape. The pocket is to store the shapes that aren't being used.

Who doesn't love Tic-Tac-Toe? This way you don't have to draw your own game. I still need to add a few more snaps to finishe this page.

Match the colors.

Learn your ABCs.
Button the flowers on to the stems.

  1. It's looking good! Did you figure out the buttonholes?

  2. I found out that I do have a buttonhole option on my sewing machine and my mom tutored me on how to use it. It's not like the fancy buttonholes like on jeans, it's just a plain old square buttonhole, but it looks okay.

  3. That is so cool looking. We have one, and the kids fight over it at church. I know how much work it is to make another one, so I have been putting it off forever, it would really help them not to fight at church though. That really looks good, I might have to copy come of your ideas, so the second book is different.
