beatrice eudora beck

Joe's grandma turned 100 in February! Joe and his sister did a little research and found out that she's older than penicillin and income tax! Joe, Corban, and I drove to Green River to celebrate her 100 years on this earth.
Beatrice with her kids: Milt, Mae, Ron

The birthday girl with her cake.

Just as sassy as ever.

Here are a few things I love about Beatrice:
  • She leers out at you from between her fingers. She doesn't want you to know she's looking, but she is!
  • She doesn't like getting her picture taken and will tell you that she's gonna break your camera. I think she might jump out of her chair one day and actually do it!
  • She sometimes thinks there are farm animals around her in the house. I've heard barking and mooing.
  • The day of her birthday, she kept looking at her flowers and smiling at them!
  • Someone was helping her into the car to go to her birthday party. They kept referring to her as "honey" or some other endearment. "Stop calling me hon!" she yelled. "What should I call you?" "How about jackass? That seems more appropriate."
  • Over Christmas she was eating some cheese crackers. She got up and came back to her chair in the living room where she saw all those cracker crumbs in her chair! She proceeded to yell at those crumbs, "Why are you sitting in my chair? You know better than to sit in my chair!"
  • She still loves kids.
Happy Birthday great-Grandma Beck!
